 STRONGEST COLD FRONT IN DECADES

LOCAL FORECAST

STRONGEST COLD FRONT IN MORE THAN 22 YEARS. SNOW EXPECTED FOR THURSDAY WITH SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES EXPECTED FOR EARLY TOMORROW, TOMORROW NIGHT, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY UNTIL NOON.

Coldest week in years for the region, Monterrey is expected to reach the following temps:


However, temps have been adjusted and now Thursday is expected below freezing the entire day with snow and sleet likely day long.

 Lowest temps:
Metro area = -4°C to -6°C for Thursday and Friday.
Rural area = -6°C to -8°C for Thursday and Friday. 
Higher terrains/mountains = -8°C to -14°C for Thursday and Friday.

Regional temps:
Tamaulipas = -2°C to -4°C mainly for the Lower Rio Grande Valley.
Coahuila = -6°C to -14°C extreme cold and severe hard freezes for the entire state.
Texas = -4°C to -24°C astonishing cold for Amarillo and Northern Texas while Deep South Texas will be really cold but in a smaller magintude compared to the northern areas.
